Global warming is a heated debate because of its serious threat to lives on Earth. It is first ¹ necessary to learn that greenhouse gasses are the major cause of this phenomenon. As a ² failure to escape into space, heat is trapped by carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane. This impact is known as the greenhouse effect. So, where do these pollutants come from? It is ³ impossible to discover that most of them result from human activities, especially the excessive burning of fossil fuels. This burning process refers to the ⁴ use of coal, gas, and oil to generate electricity, for instance. Although there is a ⁵ need to produce electricity for everyday lives, there should be ⁶ action to power our world without fossil fuels. Renewable energy such as solar, wind, and water energy act as an optimal ⁷ solution to discontinue this. Even if it is a matter of time, it is not ⁸ impossible to gradually shift from fossil fuels to clean energy. Take Iceland as a telling example. This country is ⁹ determined to harness nearly 100% green energy to supply the whole country's activities. More interestingly, Iceland is ¹⁰ willing to cooperate with other countries in moving towards a sustainable future.
