Phương pháp giải:

Đoạn văn hoàn chỉnh:

Many people believe that the next step in space exploration is sending astronauts to Mars. It sounds exciting, but is it worth it?

On the one hand, we might discover things we need on Earth - like oil or gas. For example, we already know that there is a lot of the gas methane on Mars and it can be used to make plastic. Another advantage is that we could discover new forms of life. It seems there is frozen water on Mars and possibly even running water. This may mean there are other forms of life there.

On the other hand, a manned mission to Mars would be incredibly expensive, at over $50 billion. The spacecraft would need to take food, water, oxygen, and medical supplies and these things would have to be launched into space. Moreover, we could spend this money on solving the problems we already have on Earth. I believe, it's very dangerous. We don't know the effects of being in space and of weightlessness on the human body for such a long period of time. In my opinion, the possible human cost is too great a risk. To sum up, while living on Mars might seem like a good idea, I think we have big problems to solve on Earth first.

Lời giải chi tiết:

The best title for the essay is: a. Should we send people to Mars? This title reflects the central question discussed throughout the essay about the pros and cons of a manned mission to Mars.

3. Use phrases from Exercises 2, 3 and 5.

Should We Spend Money on Finding Another Planet to Live On?

Many people believe that in the future, we might need to find another planet to live on due to environmental issues and the growing population on Earth. It sounds like an exciting idea, but is it worth the investment?

On the one hand, it’s possible that we won’t be able to save Earth, so looking for another planet might be our only solution. For example, discovering new types of life on other planets could teach us more about the universe and even help us find resources we need. Moreover, the Earth's population is growing rapidly, and space is becoming limited. Finding a new planet could solve this issue.

On the other hand, the idea of colonizing another planet is incredibly expensive. A mission like this would cost billions of dollars, and in my opinion, there are more urgent problems here on Earth that we should focus on solving first, such as poverty and climate change. Furthermore, space exploration is dangerous. We don't fully understand the risks involved in long-term space travel, and people could die in space.

To sum up, while finding another planet to live on might seem like a solution to our problems, I believe we should concentrate on saving Earth first. The risks and costs of space exploration are too high, and our planet’s problems are more immediate and pressing.
