1) P: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We're flying at about 10,000 metres, at a speed of          470  miles per hour. We're arriving in London in just under an hour. Believe it or not, it's quite sunny at our          destination but it's just three degrees, so not very warm. It is quite windy at the moment, so please stay in          your seats...

2) M: Hi, Kitty. How are you enjoying your holiday?

     K: Well, Athens is great and there's so much to do here. We're going to the Acropolis after lunch. But the             weather's terrible, It was very foggy last night. And we wanted to go to the beach today but it's really cold.           What's it like in Birmingham?

     M: Oh, it's lovely here. It stopped raining just after you left and now it's really sunny!

3) S: It's raining again! I hate living in Scotland. The weather's the same 365 days a year!

    G: That isn't true, Struan. In Scotland there is a wonderful poetry to our seasons. The summer is warm and          rainy. Autumn is rainy and windy. In winter our weather is cold and rainy. Spring is rainy and windy. We are          lucky to live here. Now put your boots on - we're going hiking in the mountains!

2) Mẹ: Chào Kitty. Con đang tận hưởng kỳ nghỉ của mình như thế nào?

   Kitty: Chà, Athens thật tuyệt và có quá nhiều việc để làm ở đây. Chúng con sẽ đến Acropolis sau bữa trưa. Nhưng thời tiết thật khủng khiếp, đêm qua trời rất nhiều sương mù. Và hôm nay chúng con muốn đi biển nhưng trời rất lạnh. Thời tiết như thế nào ở Birmingham?

     Mẹ: Ồ, thời tiết ở đây thật đáng yêu. Ngay sau khi con rời đi, trời đã tạnh mưa và bây giờ trời rất nắng!

3) Struan: Trời lại mưa! Cháu ghét sống ở Scotland. Thời tiết 365 ngày trong năm đều giống nhau!

    Ông: Điều đó không đúng, Struan à. Ở Scotland có một bài thơ tuyệt vời cho các mùa của chúng ta. Mùa hè ấm áp và có mưa. Mùa thu mưa gió. Vào mùa đông thời tiết lạnh và mưa. Mùa xuân nhiều mưa và gió. Chúng ta may mắn được sống ở đây. Bây giờ hãy mang ủng vào - chúng ta sẽ đi bộ đường dài trong núi!
